The handmade woven apron of the Forest of Thessaloniki for the locals “fouta” has been woven on the traditional looms of our workshop.
It belongs to the category of striped aprons, with red being the dominant color among green, black, and white.
On three sides of the apron, dense, fluffy wool tassels are placed, made from the same threads used for its weaving.
At the top of the apron, a handmade four-meter belt has been knitted, which wraps around the waist.
This apron was worn with their everyday attire, which the locals call “Kalameni.”
Composition: wool, cotton
Thread colors: terracotta, green, black, white
Dimensions: 75×51 cm.
